My chart won't open
Stitch Garden supports .xsd (Pattern Maker), .oxs, PCStitch .pat versions 6–11 and PDF charts. If a file won't open or a chart looks wrong, email us with the details below. You don't need to send the chart file itself: we usually don't need it to diagnose the problem, and many charts are copyrighted.
- Your Stitch Garden version
- The file format (
.xsd,.pdf,.pator.oxs) - Roughly how large the file is
- The program the chart was made in or the shop it came from, if you know
How your progress is saved
Every stitch you mark is saved on your device right away, and saved again when you finish an action. Closing the app, taking a call or switching to another app shouldn't cost you any progress. On iPhone and iPad, your library and progress can sync between your devices through iCloud. On Android, sync goes through Google Drive. This data doesn't pass through our servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Parking needles
If you set a threaded needle aside to come back to later, you can "park" it in Stitch Garden. Mark the square where you left the thread and the app keeps every parked needle in one list, so they're easy to find when you come back to the chart.
Count, reset or delete — what's the difference?
- Count in the diary is a switch on each chart. When it's on, the time you spend on the chart counts toward your overall statistics. When it's off, it doesn't. You can change it at any time.
- Reset clears all marked progress and returns the chart to its starting state. The time you've already spent on the chart stays in your diary.
- Delete removes the chart together with its history in the diary. This can't be undone.
